Dad is home

Dad had an angioplasty and it went well. The blockage wasn't as bad as the docs first thought and because he's so young (45), they say he's going to bounce right back. He was able to come home. Thank God! He'll be on medical leave from his job for awhile, so he'll have time to go to various doc appointments and figure out what the next step is.

Mom's surgery was moved up from late June to this coming Wednesday, June 10th. No biopsy results yet though. Sheesh. how long do those take?!

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, guys. Its therapeutic to be able to share my worries sometimes.

Oh good, I'm glad to hear your dad's surgery went well. And wow, he really is young - barely older than my husband (he'll be 44 in August), LOL! I will keep your mom and dad in my prayers.

good news!
my father-in-law went thru some similar things with his heart at around that age...it was so weird because he is such an active person...always at the gym. But now he is in health overdrive! He added a changed diet to his routine and is in even Better shape than before the heart scare....which is hard to believe because he was already an active person! Heart problems run in my husbands family....so Sean has changed his diet already....drinks only soy-milk now....which I hate! =)
