Good Grief

I won't lie. I'm incredibly disappointed in last night's presidential election results. But one side had to lose, so chin up and out. I'll just keep praying till 2012 rolls around.

Nikki, if our friendship could survive the 2004 election, we can survive anything, LOL!

I will say part of not like either one--I've had months to come to terms with my disappointment!

Sorry you are disappointed! But like you said, one side has to lose... I just hope the country pulls together and can be united something it hasn't been! God Bless America!! Anony Joyce

Christina,
I too am also sad that you are disappointed. The way I see it, we could have voted McCain in and repeated the last 8 years. I thank GOD that we (as a country) don't have to continue fighting a battle that should have never been started in the first place. I pray that men and women everywhere remember how we came together after 9/11 and I pray that we again become ONE.

I did vote for Obama, but I respect your right to vote for who you please. I feel fortunate to live in a country where we have the right to choose our leaders.

Your comment reminds of me of when my Dad passed away three years ago - I had a friend/coworker who's a Republican, and he came to my Dad's wake, and he said, "Are there any other Republicans here (because most of my family always votes Democrat)". I told him my brother in law is Republican, and my friend, "He's a good guy. I like him", LOL!

The coworker used to keep a picture of Bush in his desk drawer, and I one time asked him I could take the picture home. I said I needed it to line my cat's litter box, ha, ha! He was a good friend, so we we were able to overlook each other's political differences.

What I'm truly grateful for is that our band of merry hookers have not fallen victim to the culture wars that have sprung up in lieu of healthy debate and discourse. Even thought we differ politically, I have so much love and respect for you, Christina, and I couldn't dream of those differences getting in the way.
