I finished the Seraphina! This one worked up alot faster than the one I made in December. That's probably because of the boucle yarn and the K hook.
After pondering your comments and looking at this picture for awhile, I decided that this one will go to non-dirty Grandma for Christmas. I love the yarn, I love the self-striping, and I love the pattern...but this green is a smidge bright for me.
I have another full skein of this green boucle, so I'm going to see if I can trade with someone on Crochetville for a different color boucle.
Sam, I told hubby your mermaid comment and he laughed. Also, thanks for the link Ashley!
Since you guys responded positively to the contest idea, its on! Yeah baby!
I'm going to put up a picture on Monday, March 10th. You guys will be able to e-mail me your captions for one week, then I'll open up the voting for a few days. This will give me enough time to come up with a good prize. Mark your calendars peeps!

Beautiful! I love how the colors are spaced. That's a great yarn for a Seraphina. One day I will try this pattern! I'm still working on my blue one, so I am resisting starting another before that is done.
I'm excited to see what you come up with for a prize for the contest!
That yarn is so Awesome and wow that was really quick work! I love that yarn and I have some blue for myself I just need to get started after this crazy month. It looks beautiful and I'm sure your Granny will look great!
The shawl is gorgeous, Christina! I like how bright the green is - it's an infusion of springtime at a moment when we badly need it.
I've long been curious how that Rainbow Boucle yarn would work up, either in crochet or knitting - it's nice to see an example like this. Thanks!
It turned out beautiful! you are so fast at making stuff. I don't know how you do it. And I love the yarn, it is a beautiful color.
Wow, that's just incredible that you finished that shawl already! I'm totally jealous! It came out beautiful. I don't even have the nerve to attempt such a complicated pattern!
You work really fast...it looks wonderful!
