Those look great :) I have suggestion for your binding off woes: the crochet bind off! Pull out your trusty hook and go at it (find out how here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efRaicXpT_8) You'll never bind off knit-style again!!! It gets a little tricky if you have to bind off in a pattern, not quite figured that out yet. Welcome to the knitting club, and get ready to be blown away by all the fun patterns! I love this pattern for learning yarn overs and decreases: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/amoberly/vineyard - I'd have to send you the pattern instructions, the original is in french and I have the translation. Let me know if you want it!
They look wonderful! Look at doing another pair for Piper this way, you'll get the pattern down pat and working closer to perfect! It's a learning experience!
Wow, I'm super impressed! They turned out lovely. I wish I could knit. It is on my goal list for 2009. Maybe I'll finally be able to learn how to knit.
Hi, Christina! I'm a lurker -- love your blog, and love to see what you crochet. Thanks to you, I've made 4 Divine Hats and one Z's slouch hat for Christmas gifts. I started learning to knit this month, too. Here are my first 3 projects: quick fingerless glove: http://lisabeamer.blogspot.com/2008/01/fast-easy-fingerless-mitts.html Man's hat (I tried dpns for the first time on this today! It wasn't hard!): http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/turn-a-square headband: http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=86&d_id=10&lang=us I've been too busy to blog, but am loving the knitting. I can't wait to see what you make!
Hey amiga you are doing sooooo well on your knitting! The arm warmers are darling. I'm gonna have to dust off my needles and dive in with ya! Can you please post the link to the pattern if you can? You have great taste!
