Shells Raglan Sweater

In my sick stupor this weekend, I haven't been able to do much but lay in bed, so I finally finished Pi's raglan sweater!

I didn't use a pattern, just the general guidelines for a raglan. The top and sleeves are worked in hdc. I increased on the last light pink row by 20 or so stitches and worked shells to get the A-line fit for her.

I added buttons though they are mismatched. She was too excited for me to go and get all matchng buttons, so they are all the same size and color, but different styles. I made her a matching headband too, at her request.

She picked all the colors and I ended up using a little more than 5 balls of Plymouth Encore. I used an "I" hook for thr top and a "J" for the shells.

Pi said the shells remind her of waves and I should call it Ocean Waves. Too cute! I couldn't get her to take it off so that I could get a picture of it flat. She went to stay with her dad last night and took it with her.

Ok, its time for me to jump under the heating pad again. Hope everyone is staying warm in this frigid weather!

The sweater looks great! I can't believe you did it without a pattern. The shells are so pretty - very wavy like your daughter said. She was smart to request a matching headband. What a lucky little girl!
