Meet the Bobs and Sir Alexander

I had the good fortune to be invited to a knit get-together at Knit a Bit today. I got to meet Karen, Bezzie, and two of their knitting buddies, Chris and Jen.

I brought a few little turtles with me to give to the girls. Turtles represent endurance, strength and patience and I hope everyone's 2010 is full of all three!

Turtles striking a pose.

Jen decided we should name them. After some thought and a story about a children's book, we all agreed four would be Bob and one would be Sir Alexander, just like in the book.

The Bobs and Sir Alexander say goodbye.

The turtles marched bravely into my purse to meet their new owners.

Thanks for inviting me ladies! I had so much fun gabbing and repeatedly ripping out my sock. :)

such cute turtles! Are you really making socks!? I can't wait to start making socks. I need to increase my knitting skills by about a 100% first.

Bob, Bob, Bob, and Sir Alexander Worthington III. Too funny. I had a great time, and we will have to do it again soon!

I just read that book to Moochie tonight--I have to confess, I messed up the turtle's name...but I came close! They're all so damn cute!!

It was awesome finally getting to meet you! We'll have to get together again more!

Even if the name isn't exactly right, I think Sir Alexander is close enough to still be hilarious!

I haven't really made a sock yet...just the cuff of one. Does that count? LOL
