Mice, monkeys, and teeth...Oh my!

I've just returned from a girl scout meeting, threw the child into the shower and then bed. Suffice to say I'm tired enough that I can't think of a better title for this entry. Le sigh.

Anyhoo, Mickey #6 came and went. Apparently, our membership to the mouse of the month club was only lasped for a month...how relieving (/sacasm)! I do sort of feel bad for how he died though. He got his face stuck in the trap. Looks like he crawled on and then backed up a bit when he realized what was going on, but it was too late. Mice without faces = nastiness. I have pictures but will spare you (if you really want to see, email me).

Onto fun things. Hope you're not sick of ami's yet (told you I was in a phase). Pi asked me to make the monkey from the Amigurumi Animals book by Annie Obaachan, which I'd taken out of the library. He's about 5" tall, made with RHSS, and an I hook. Pi liked him so much in the tree, she's left him there.

I also tested a money holding tooth for MomCrochets at Crochetville. Introducing Timmy the Tooth. This guy was made with less than an ounce of RHSS and a G hook...in less than an hour!

(that's $10 but Pi only gets $2 per tooth unless the dentist pulls it. It was the only bill willing to model for me).

I promise that you won't be seeing anymore amis for a little while. Not that my kick is quite over, but because I've run out of stuffing.

On Saturday, girl scouts are taking a trip to Home Depot to learn how to make a wooden boat. Please pray I won't lose a finger somehow!

Very cute projects! I'm always amazed at how fast you crochet. It seems like even my small projects take forever. : (

$2.00 for a tooth is fine. When I was a kid back in the 70's and 80's, the "Tooth Fairy" usually just gave a quarter or two, so imagine my shock when my daughter told me the kids in her class usually get at least $5 per tooth (comparing notes, ha, ha!). Seriously! Her best friend gets $10 a tooth. Then again, she's an only child, and her parents are fairly well-off. Still, $10 a tooth over how many teeth...

I'm sorry to hear the mice came back. I don't think I could stand seeing a smushed mouse, LOL!

Whew. I give Chunky $2 a tooth too. Except he got five when he swallowed one ;-). Cute pillow!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that takes pictures of mouse carnage!

Cute! The tooth fairy amigurumi is so adorable! My parents used to have me wrap the tooth in a big sheet of tin foil because the tooth fairy 'likes shiny things'. Turns out it was easier to fish out from under my pillow.
Speaking of tooth fairy money, I got two teeth pulled from the dentist and I got a quarter for each (in the late 80s).
