I was going to take Piper to Build a Bear today as a reward for all A's all school-year long...
I was going to dedicate this weekend to the Cathedral Rose Window...
I was going to sleep in this morning...
But alas, as I was on my way out the door at work on Thursday night, I was informed that there was a "very important project" to be started on Friday. In actuality, this project is pointless, yet had me working until 10 pm on Friday and all day today, Saturday.
Piper isn't happy and neither is my Cathedral Rose Window. I'm not sure I'll make my self-imposed July deadline.
The plus side is that hubby took it upon himself to do all the laundry (thanks!) and my next check should be a smidge better that the last one.
Hope you all had a work-free Saturday!

Wow, that sucks that most of your weekend got ruined like that! Good thing you get paid overtime though.
Congratulations to Piper for getting all A's all year! My Bethany is hovering at about a C average because of her learning disabilities. It's frustrating, because she has a normal IQ, but just can't learn the same way as other kids. : (
I love those "very important projects" and let me guess it was put off til the very end wasn't it?
Yep! You knoe law firms well. The deadline for this project is Monday night. Nice of them to inform us on Thursday night.
Congrats to Piper for all her A's.
Uggh that sucks big time, way big time. My Saturday I mainly sent crocheting a bit of squares for Nesa's blanket, took my girls to the park and relaxed around the house. Hope your Sunday be a relaxing day.:) take care:)
That is great about Piper!! And, I agree with the others, it does suck big time, not knowing about the O.T. until the last minute!
What a bummer! At least if you have some notice you can mentally prepare.
That's wonderful about Piper: straight A's are hard work!
LOL!!!! God, I miss those days!! That was said with a tad of sarcasm. I hope that at least fed you and gave you a car home!! Anony Joyce
Bummer - I'm so sorry you had to work on a Saturday. I hope you get to make it up to Pi and your Cathedral Window Blanket. I'm sure they understand. I really hate very important projects, or as they call them in my office "Rush Orders". Somehow I always get stuck with them.
I'm suffering the same OT virus as you are. Hopefully Pi will be understanding and realize that working weekends is a necessity, not a choice. She sounds like such a great kid. Hope all is well otherwise!
