One Skein Scarf

I picked up the SnB: Happy Hooker book from my library a few weeks back and I love it! Sometimes I stare at it lovingly. Ok, not really, but it is a pretty darn awesome book.

Here is the first project I tried from the book: the one skein scarf. It actually took less than a skein for me! I've got enough left over to make a matching hat or headband. This one is made with Lion Brand Homespun yarn. The yarn is chunky and a bit difficult to work with, but I was so happy with the end result. It was super quick too. I finished it in 2 days worth of subway rides (yes, I measure time this way).

Forgive the quality of the picture...I took this pic with my cell phone. My digital camera is...somewhere. If you've seen it, let me know. Its gray, square, small-ish. Very distinguished looking, eh?

I'm currently working on another one skein scarf in a yummy wool/nylon blend yarn from Joann's. Its chunky and soft and full of these great girly colors. In love. :)

Oh, and I wanted to mention that I've got 3 girls at work crocheting now. One had learned as a kid but hadn't crocheted in ages and the other 2 had never learned. I'm proud to say that they're all doing really well. Spread the madness!

SnB is good damn stuff. :)

Your scarf looks great. :D

I need to post more of my crafts...or more of my life, perhaps. ;p

I definitely miss subway time. I guarantee I would get more knitting done if I were on the subway daily.
