Christmas Wrap-up

We had such a great Christmas this year. We were able to spend lots of time with our family, laughing, being silly, and just enjoying each other's company. We went to my aunt Aida's house on Christmas Eve. Everyone showed up and it was the biggest crowd Aida's had in years.

Even Santa decided to show up!

Played by my cousin-in-law Todd

Santa delivered this Chevron Lace Cardgian that a certain elf made (and finished just in the nick of time...an hour before we left!). I used 5 skeins of Cascade Sierra and a K hook.

Dirty Grandma loved it!

On Christmas morning, Pi opened lots of gifts from the real Santa.

And we ate french toast Christmas trees for breakfast.

We headed to my parent's house, where they politely informed me that my old school, giant backed, anything but flat tv was unacceptable.

But, I like this tv! lol
To replace it and bring us into present time, they bought uf this!

They're crazy, but we love it! Thanks Mom & Dad!

All of us sisters and Pi bought my parents a 16x20 framed portrait of us. Steph and I snuck the twins out one day in November (not easy!) to get our pics taken. We all wore pink because our maiden name means pink in Spanish. Then we had to swear the twins to secrecy (easier than I thought) until Christmas.

I hope everyone had a peaceful, restful, family-filled day!
Oh and I'm officially on vacation until Janaury 4th...wooooooooo!

Great job on the cardigan. Nice picture also. My son informed me that I need to get a new tv for the living room. We'll see.

Awesome gift to your 'rents! I love the pink theme too--so clever!

Bez----- means "ungrateful" in Czech. So I guess if my siblings in law did that for my MIL and FIL...they wouldn't get a thank you note for the gift huh?

Love that cardi too!

That's a great photo! You know all the ladies in your family look just alike! My brothers and sisters and I got a photo taken together for our parents back in the early 90's, and it cracks me up to look at it now, and see how my sisters and I all had the curly perms back then, LOL! I don't miss the hair, but boy, if I could just be that thin again - sigh...

I love Dirty Grandma's sweater - very pretty! And what generous parents you have, buying you that nice TV - lucky you!

Looks like a wonderful Christmas! That was sweet of your parents to get you guys a new TV. Funny though!

Now I know french toast is probably the easiest thing in the world to make but I tried it once and it was a disaster! Wasted lots of toast and eggs! What's your recipe?

Nice picture of you and your sisters and Pi. I'm sure your parents loved it.
